Letter from [Olie?] to Mother [manuscript], 1861 November 14.

Letter descibes minor accident on trip to Richmond, train from Gordonsville crowded with soldiers, three ill soldiers in Mrs. Grey's house, high prices, visiting the Confederate White House where there is an excellent photograph of General Beauregard, the Davis family, coffee substitutes, regiments leaving for Manassas, and family news.

P.G.T. Beauregard was a Confederate States Army general from New Orleans, Louisiana.
